Why look

These are very different economies, with opportunities in energy, agriculture, services and infrastructure. For Brazil there is the advantage of language and part of a shared history, and common agendas in agribusiness, energy and connectivity.

Concrete bridges in 2026

  • TAAG starts operating the Luanda-Dakar-Praia route on October 31, with two flights a week.
  • Cabo Verde Airlines has flown weekly between Praia and Recife since May 2026, and a Sal–Recife route starts on December 12.
  • Brazil and Angola signed an agricultural investment protocol; the Terra Lunda pilot plans 20,000 hectares in Lunda Norte, with an estimated investment of about US$ 83 million.

How to start

  • Map who decides in each country.
  • Understand how the project will be financed.
  • Have trusted local partners.
  • Respect the local arrangement, communities and the law of each country.
The view from next door. In Lusophone Africa, as in Brazil's Northeast, investment only holds when communities see a return. A shared language makes the conversation easier, but it does not replace the work of listening.
